MEET OUR FOUNDER
GOFF MARTIN (ONE AND THE SAME)
Peter (Goff) Martin established BALITSA P/L business in 1984. Goff, having worked in the restaurant industry with his family for 50 years had always had a passion for farming. A ‘seed’ was planted as such, behind an existing buxus on the restaurant property. From this ‘seed’ Goff initiated the business as a small part-time hobby on a vacant acre of land in Olinda, just up the road from property now used.
BALITSA P/L trading as Dunnmartin Box hedges experienced strong growth with high demand from the commercial landscape industry and wholesale markets. To meet this growing demand and expand the business further, a 10-acre property in Monbulk was purchased in the year 2000, which is where the wholesale nursery is to this day.

Over the past 35 years different technologies have been adopted to assist farming of the hedges more efficiently and enable improved plant growth.
Dunnmartin Box Hedges services clients across Victoria and NSW, with long term relationships in place with numerous landscaping and major wholesaling clients.
Despite continued growth, the business has remained a family run operation focused on maintaining quality standards, friendly and experienced staff and a focus on continued improvements with safety, enhanced systems and processes. Dunnmartin Box Hedges has gained considerable prestige from its clients for its quality products and services over 35 years operation.
The business focuses solely on the supply industry where it is one of the key suppliers.
