Buxus Sempervirens ‘Graham Blandy’
Emerald Pillars have a slightly different shaped leaf to the standard English. They tend to be a little bit wider and more rounded with more of an emerald green colour to them. Emerald Pillars grow in a pillar like shape with all branches growing vertically. They grow to approx. 2.5m in height and need yearly trimming to keep nice and tight. Good for a screen hedge or stand alone feature, they are slow growing like the standard English. Emerald Pillar fresh foliage has a lighter green colour but does darken when hardened off. During the winter months it is not uncommon for Emerald Pillar foliage to bronze off, this discolouring does go away when warmer weather returns.
